Led by our directors, Mr. Andisile Best and Mr. Mlulami Ntutela, our team is committed to delivering high-quality solutions and services that make a meaningful impact on businesses, communities, and society as a whole.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Experience: With over 19 years of cumulative experience, Mr. Ntutela brings extensive expertise to Dev Afrika Focus. He has 14 years of management experience, including 9 years in senior leadership roles across various sectors. His experience spans economic development, labour market policy, education, and research. Mr. Ntutela's background includes roles in facilitating and designing labour market policies, curriculum development, HR strategy, and organisational development. His contributions to economic and social policy proposals and his expertise in curriculum design and facilitation have made him an invaluable asset to the organisation.
Education: Mr. Ntutela holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Labour & Globalisation, focusing on Advanced Social Research, from the University of the Witwatersrand. Additionally, he earned a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Library Science, Psychology, and English from the University of the Western Cape. His academic background also includes practical programming skills acquired from Intec College, demonstrating a diverse skill set suited to the multifaceted challenges of development work.
Continuous Professional Development: Mr. Ntutela is committed to continuous professional development, reflecting his dedication to staying updated with emerging trends and best practices. He has pursued further education and professional certifications to enhance his skills and knowledge.
Mr. Ntutela's extensive experience, diverse educational background, and ongoing professional development positions him as a key leader within Dev Afrika Focus. His contributions to labour market policy, education, and economic development have driven the company's mission and objectives forward.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Experience: With over 24 years of cumulative experience, with a total of 21 years of management experience which includes 15 years of senior leadership roles across public, private, and academic sectors. He is experienced in strategic planning, programme and project management, and business development. Mr. Best brings invaluable leadership to Dev Afrika Focus with exposure to international development and support to Ministries of Finance in Africa on public financial management, public policy and governance, infrastructure development, the transportation sector, and community development. His visionary approach and innovative thinking continues to drive our company's growth and success.
Education: He holds an MSc in Public Policy and Management, a Bachelor of Administration Honours degree in Public Administration, a Diploma in Business Computing and professional certifications in Project Management, Total Quality Management and an Executive Development Programme. His continuous pursuit of knowledge and skills enhancement reflects dedication to professional growth and staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices. His current doctoral studies focusing on Urban and Regional Planning also contribute to building a future that will benefit the global citizenry and clientele.
In addition to his qualifications, Mr. Best maintains ongoing professional development and ensures accountability in every role he undertakes. He is a Chartered Government Finance Officer (CGFO) with the Chartered Institute of Government Finance, Auditing and Risk Officers (CIGFARO); a Project Manager (PM) with the Project Management South Africa (PMSA); a Master Human Resources Practitioner (MHRP) with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP); and a Fellow of the Organisation Development Practitioner (F.ODP) with the Chartered Institute of Professional Practitioners and Trainers (CIPPT). He also holds membership with the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA), South African Association of Public Administration and Management (SAAPAM), International Association for Community Development (IACD), and Professional Editors’ Guild (PEG).
Our team members possess a diverse range of qualifications, including degrees in economics, social sciences, environmental studies, public administration, and more. Many of our team members also hold advanced degrees and professional certifications in their respective fields, demonstrating their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
